            Jann Tackett brought the meeting to order at 5:40pm.  Present were:  Jann T., Susan Hilton, Heidi Lowthorp, Jeff Norton, Joyce Gorham, Linda Reilly, and Kirk Hughes.

 

            It was moved by Joyce G. and 2nd by Heidi L. to accept the agenda.  Motion passed. 

 

Secretary’s Report

            Kirk H. read the minutes of the last meeting.  A correction of who was to receive the check from the Fremont County Endowment Fund was made.  It was Jann T. not Joyce G.

            It was moved by Linda R. and 2nd by Susan H. to approve the minutes with the correction.  Motion passed.

 

            Correspondence:  None

 

Bills To Be Paid

            Joyce G. said we still need to pay the Library Board for the concession supplies.  Total amount is $89.05.  Kassie J. had been on vacation and had not paid this yet.

 

Treasurer’s Report

            Kassie J. was absent.

 

 

Old Business

1.      CAT—we have received all five checks totaling $27,149.13.  We will receive one more check for $6,000-$8,000. 

2.      Lighting Ceremony—June 1st the Booster Club will grill out.  Questions about who will pay for the food and if we should put out a free will donation can or charge for food.  Also who would receive the profits from the free will donation if we put out a can.  Jann T. and Jeff N. will speak on behalf of SAF, Inc.

3.      Track Concession Stand Revenue—The first track meet netted about $300 profit.  The Corner Conference Meet netted about $1,300 profit.  Linda R. moved and Heidi 2nd that we donate $300 to cheerleaders for their help in the concession stand.  Motion passed.  Joyce G. abstained. 

4.      Brick Project—We agreed we should have a display at the Alumni Banquet.  Susan H. will send information about how to buy a brick to Susy Clayton so she can get it on our web page.

5.      Plans For The Alumni Banquet—It will be on May 26, 2007 at the Sidney Jr. Sr. High School.  We will set up on Friday, May 25 at 5:30pm.  We will need to set up tables, go get more tables, buy red/white table coverings and prizes, and to decorate.  There was a lengthy discussion about how to get more young people involved in the banquet.  Many liked the idea of moving it to homecoming weekend.  We are thinking about still having the banquet on Memorial Day weekend and also doing a picnic on homecoming weekend.

We also discussed having a short survey at the banquet along with an email and mailing address sheet.

6.      We will invite the three scholarship winners to the banquet.   They were

Lauren Clark, Alex Schaeffer, and Jessica Hills.

 

New Business

1.      Student Council Report—Lauren Clark was absent.

2.      Booster Club donated $2,500 to SAF, Inc. for the lighting project.  Jann T. will send them a thank you.

3.      Kelley Marshall is the new Student Council President.

 

Next meeting will be in August 2007.

 

Kirk H. moved to adjourn and Linda R. 2nd it.  Motion passed.  Meeting was adjourned at 6:37pm.
