Great Beginnings Preschool

Our integrated preschool program serves the needs of all two, three and four-year-old children, including those at-risk and those with special needs.  Amy Silhacek (Miss Amy), classroom teacher, and Mrs. Diane Davis and Miss Becky Head, associates, conduct classes four days a week for the older children.  Our two-year-old & three-year-old programs meet on Tuesday-Thursday or Monday-Wednesday-Friday for two or three hours weekly.  The four-year-old children attend Monday-Tuesday-Thursday-Friday in the afternoons.  To ask about enrolling in either of the preschool programs, parents are asked to contact the elementary office at 374-2647.

ELEMENTARY STUDENTS RECEIVE FLAG

The elementary students recently received a flag that had been flown over Camp Fallujah, Irag, on August 26, 2007.   The students had gathered up their school supplies at the end of the school year last May and shipped them to students in Iraq.  Elementary teacher, Linda Spencer, has a nephew, Brian McCarthy, who is an officer serving with the Marines in Iraq.  Brian arranged for the flag to be sent to the Sidney students.  Accompanying the flag was a National Ensign Letter of Authenticity and a picture of the flag being flown in Iraq.

Mrs. Spencer, elementary teacher, and Mrs. Maher,

                                                                                                                                            elementary principal, present the flag.
